Mourning Queen Elizabeth II: The Longest-reigning Monarch

Queen Elizabeth II died last Thursday at the age of 96, Buckingham Palace announced hours after saying the Queen was under medical supervision at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.

On September 8, 2022, Queen Elizabeth II died causing much sadness among people in the United Kingdom and abroad. According to the Palace, the Queen's funeral is expected to be held on September 19.

Mourners carried out flowers, and roses along with the country's national flags as the photos of Queen Elizabeth II covered almost every spot in the UK.
