'My Body, My Choice': Americans Protest Supreme Court's Abortion Ruling

Published June 26th, 2022 - 08:27 GMT

Abortion rights demonstrations erupted across the US on June 24th following the country's Supreme Court decision regarding abortion as they called for safe and legal access to abortion.

A few thousand people held a demonstration outside Supreme Court in Washington carrying signs that read "War on women, who's next?" and "No uterus, No opinion." Other protesters also shouted slogans including: 'My Body, My Choice, and You Can Only Ban Safe Abortion.'

The mass protests across the country came to slam a leaked draft opinion showing the Supreme Court's conservative majority is poised to overturn Roe v. Wade, a landmark 1973 ruling guaranteeing abortion access nationwide.
