Comic Con Arabia took place this weekend in Riyadh’s International Exhibition Center, more than 50 years after the first ever such event brought together comic fans in New York back in 1964.

Saudi fans had the opportunity to dress up as characters, with the winners of the cosplay recieving cash prizes worth nearly $2,000.

International celebrity guests also arrived in Saudi Arabia for the event, including Game of Thrones star Pilou Asbæk.
