Pope Francis Delivers 'Urbi et Orbi' in St Peter's Square

Pope Francis delivered ''Urbi et Orbi'' blessing which is believed to be the first time to be made outside Christmas and Easter in an rare move due to the coronavirus pandemic that crushed the world leaving over 36,000 people killed till this moment. 

'Urbi et Orbi' blessing is Latin meaning 'to the city and the world' with the Pope performing it in an empty St Peter's Square this evening. 

Moreover, Catholics who watch the Pope's appearance online are likely to be offered forgiveness for their sins if they receive the blessing according to the Christian tradition.
