Children were among nine people who were killed in a park in Iraq's autonomous Kurdistan region Wednesday by artillery fire in the Zakho district in the north of the country. Protesters hit the streets in various regions in Iraq to denounce the latest attacks.
No one claimed responsibility for the attacks. However, Baghdad accused Turkey of the latest missiles of the Zakho district which led to the death of nine civilians and injury of 23 others.
On the other hand, Turkey rejected the Iraqi Prime Minister's claims of being responsible for the latest shelling of the Kurdistan's Zakho district hinting that the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) may have been responsible.
