Published March 16th, 2022 - 07:20 GMT

Syrians marked on March 15, the 11th anniversary of the civil war that started in 2011. The ongoing civil war was fought between the Syrian Arab Republic led by the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and various domestic and foreign forces that oppose both the Syrian government and each other, in varying combinations.

According to UN analysis, roughly 350,000 civilians have been killed between March 2011, when the conflict erupted and March 2021. Data also showed about 6.8 million Syrians fled the war while another 6.7 million people are displaced within Syria.

Using the hashtags "#Syria11, #RememberSyria, and #SyrianRevolution", people have remembered the tragic civil war that is still going on till this time.
