Published July 18th, 2022 - 07:20 GMT

Massive wildfires have erupted separately in various regions across Europe, including France, Spain, and Portugal where according to officials they were caused by the first of its kind heatwave affecting Europe.

Hundreds of firefighters are doing their best to contain the wildfires that are damaging thousands of hectares, devastating trees, killing animals, and releasing toxic gases into the environment.

Moreover, thousands of people have also fleed their homes amid the spread of wildfires. In France, more than 11,000 people have fled the Gironde region fearing the wildfire.
