Red roses, balloons, and teddy bears; the world is turning red as people get ready for celebrating valentine's day which is always marked on February 14th.
Couples share presents on that day and have a romantic evening together. However, have you ever wondered how was this day created and why it became an annual celebration?
In fact, the day was picked in remembrance of Saint Valentine who was a clergyman in the Roman Empire and administered to persecuted Christians. He was martyred and his body was buried at a Christian cemetery on the Via Flaminia on February 14, which has been observed as the Feast of Saint Valentine (Saint Valentine's Day) since at least the eighth century.
