Slouchy’Z Boutique by Maryam Selaich opens in Dubai Ladies Club

Dubai Ladies Club, a member of Dubai Women Establishment, recently welcomed Slouchy’Z Boutique, which opened in the Art Centre earlier this month. The new boutique marks the first retail space for Slouchy’Z, a bespoke abayas and evening wear label by Emirati designer Maryam Selaich. 

Established in August 2010, Slouchy'Z was founded by Emirati born designer Maryam Selaich to cater to a certain base of female customers who attach great importance to the design of the abaya and, specifically, their embellishment with high end fabrics and embroidery. Each Slouchy'Z collection offers a selection of bespoke abayas to its customers following closely Slouchy'Z philosophy "modern but modest". 

On the occasion, Dina Abbas, Operations Manager of Dubai Ladies Club, said, “Dubai Ladies Club has consistently supported female Emirati entrepreneurs through a number of programs and opportunities to channelize their strengths and contribute effectively to the social and economic progress of the UAE. In line with this ethos, we are delighted to introduce the first fashion outlet within our existing retail portfolio. We are confident that Slouchy’Z will see continued success in the weeks and months ahead and will provide an upscale shopping experience to our members and guests that feels feminine and personal.” 

Maryam Selaich's taste for beauty and luxury formed the guiding prinpciples behind her fashion label Slouchy’Z.
