Arsenal is reportedly planning to meet the 32 million-pound buyout clause of Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger surprised many by forking out an Arsenal record of 42.5 million-pound deal to sign Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid last year.

According to Metro.co.uk, Arsenal officials have already approached the La Liga club to inform them that they plan on meeting the Costa's buyout clause.

The striker has scored goals for fun in the last 18 months, and was strongly linked with Liverpool during the summer transfer window, the report added. (ANI)
