Arsenal have already made two strong summer signings early on this transfer window with the arrival of French international fullback Mathieu Debuchy and Chilean international Alexis Sanchez.

Now the Gunners look to be close to agreeing terms for Colombian goal keeper David Ospina. Currently under contract with French club Nice and only has 12 months to run on his current contract.

Arsene Wenger needs a new keeper as Lukas Fabianski was allowed to move to Swansea already and Emiliano Viviano's loan has expired.

According to the Star the club is hoping that everything for the new signing will be wrapped up by the end of the coming week.

Ospina is said to be keen on the move to the Premier League and Nice is expected to be forced into allowing their star shot stopper to leave.

However, reports have surfaced that their could be late competition for the players signature from Valencia and could see a late bidding war stretch out finalizing the deal.
