Arsenal heads into week eight of the English Premier League campaign at the top of the table and level on points with Liverpool at 16. While Arsene Wenger was criticized mercilessly over the summer by the press, his decision only to buy a few key pieces during the transfer window looks more and more of a classic shrew move by the wise old Frenchman.

While Arsenal were slow movers in the market, their opponents at the weekend in the form of Norwich City were very active as the club had their biggest transfer budget in history and made several of their biggest purchases ever including new club record transfer Ricky Van Wolfswinkel.

However, while the Canaries spent big, they are struggling in the early relegation fight and manager Chris Hughton has a lot to prove. Meanwhile Arsenal will be looking to keep things moving forward at the top of the pile.

Mesut Ozil limped off Tuesday evening during Germany and Sweden's final World Cup Qualification match but he is expected to be ready for Saturday along with Santi Cazorla whom is also expected to return to the first team.

While Bacary Sagna is a doubt, Theo Walcott is also expected to be on the bench and available for selection but Abou Diaby, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Lukas Podolski and Yaya Sanogo all remain sidelined.

Norwich's primary injury concern is with wide midfielder Anthony Pilkington and he is expected to be replaced by young Nathan Redmond by Hughton after not being in the starting eleven against Chelsea
