Barshim wins first silver Olympic medal in Qatar's history

Qatari Olympic champion Mutaz Essa Barshim made an unprecedented achievement in the Qatari sport by winning the silver medal in the high jump competition in the Olympic Games Rio 2016 in Brazil.

Barsham has successfully cleared 2.36m.

This is the first silver medal for Qatar in its Olympic Games history Barshim previously took bronze at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
