FIFA presidential candidate Chung Mong-Joon has accused the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for backing rival candidate Michel Platini, and added that it is a clear case of `election fraud`.

South Korea's Chung said he had received copies of the form, asking for AFC member associations' support to Platini for the post of FIFA President, Sport24 reported.

Chung affirmed that the fairness of the election has seriously been tarnished.

The vice-president insisted that FIFA's ad-hoc electoral committee should hold an immediate enquiry on this fraud.

The election for the appointment of new FIFA president will take place on 26 February, with Sepp Blatter standing down amidst a corruption crisis engulfing the football's governing body.

FIFA's image has already been hampered after 14 sports marketing executives and football officials, including several from the Zurich-based FIFA, were indicted by the U.S Justice Department in late May over corruption charges.
