Egypt need to avoid a loss by 4 points in their upcoming clash against Tanzania to secure a place in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations

Egypt's national team coach, the Argentinean Hector Cuper, announced the 25-man squad for the Pharaohs' anticipated clash against Tanzania in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers scheduled for 4 June.

Arsenal star Mohamed Elneny and Roma's Mohamed Salah are among the European-based players who have been called-up for the game while Ahly skipper Hossam Ghaly was left out after his recent dispute with the technical staff.

The Pharaohs are supposed to meet on Thursday to kick-off their training camp.

They cancelled a friendly against DR Congo that was scheduled on the 29th of this month.

Egypt, who are on the verge of reaching the Nations Cup for the first time since 2010, need to avoid a 4-0 loss when they face Tanzania away to secure their place in next year's continental competition.

The seven-time African champions are leading group G with seven points, five ahead of second-placed Nigeria and six clear of third-placed Tanzania.
