17-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer believes that he is better prepared than ever to claim another title at Wimbledon, which starts on Monday.

The Swiss suffered a heart-wrenching five-set loss to Novak Djokovic at the All England Club last year, which left him shedding tears during the post-match presentations.

However, Federer insisted that he has moved on from that painful day saying that he sees more the positives than actually the heart-breaking loss in the final, Sport24 reported.

The seven-time Wimbledon champion said that he didn't expect himself to right away make the final, pointing that he was then recovering from injury and still made the final.

Federer, however, insisted that his game is better and he could really aim for Wimbledon this year.

Although Federer suffered an embarrassing Australian Open third-round defeat against Andreas Seppi and was subsequently thrashed by compatriot Stan Wawrinka at the French Open, he believes that it is probably the best preparation he has ever had for Wimbledon, pointing to the extra week of preparation time.

Federer heads into Wimbledon after winning the Halle Open for the eighth time last week and now has a chance to overhaul Pete Sampras and William Renshaw as Wimbledon's most successful male singles champion.
