Manchester City has won the race to sign Pep Guardiola as their new manager and the former Barcelona boss has already signed a preliminary agreement to replace Roberto Mancini at the Etihad Stadium, according to FIFA agent, Francois Gallardo.

The Spanish coach quit Barcelona in the summer and pledged to take a year away from football to recharge his batteries.

Premier League champions City appointed former Barcelona executive Txiki Begiristain as their director of football in October, to work alongside chief executive Ferran Soriano, another former Nou Camp suit.

Gallardo has told a Spanish radio station that Man City is already plotting to replace manager Roberto Mancini.

"Guardiola has a pre-deal to be the next manager of Manchester City," the Daily Mirror quoted Gallardo, as saying.

"No matter if Milan or whoever make offers to him," he added. (ANI)
