FIFA experts arrive in Amman to oversee U-17 Women's World Cup

A FIFA delegation has arrived in Amman to manage the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup due to kick off on Friday, official said.

CEO of the competition's Local Organising Committee, Samar Nassar, told Petra that FIFA, the world football's governing body, has sent 222 experts to improve the management of the tournament.

"Jordan is ready to host this global event and stadiums are ready to host the matches", said Nassar.

She said that the Amman International Stadium will be the venue for the opening ceremony which will see Jordanian, Hussein Salman, and Lebanese, Carole Samaha, singing the official anthem of the competition.

"Most of the tickets have been sold out", she said, adding that it indicates the eagerness of the Jordanian audience to enjoy and watch the game. Four fixtures will take place next Friday which will see Mexico face New Zealand at the Amman International Stadium and Venezuela playing against Germany at the Al-Hasan Stadium in Irbid.

Later in the day Jordan will compete Spain while Cameron and Canada will face each other at the same stadiums in Irbid and Amman.
