Switzerland beat hosts Canada 2-1 at BC Place in Vancouver, in the top clash of the third round of Group B at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Canadian team tried and fought hard, especially in the second half until the final minutes, to equalize and snatch the top spot in the group. However, the Swiss team got the job done successfully and finished the group stage as leaders.
With this result, and alongside Bosnia and Herzegovina's 3-1 win over Qatar in the other Group B match, the final standings are: Switzerland in first place with 7 points, Canada in second with 4 points, Bosnia and Herzegovina in third with 4 points, and Qatar in last place with 1 point.
