Fasting versus starving and how to burn fat while fasting

Evolve Mind Body and Soul recently organised a workshop titled 'Fitness and/or Fasting this Ramadan' to educate people about health and well-being during and after Ramadan.

The fitness workshop was free to the public and spoke about the facts and benefits of fasting, fasting versus starving and how to burn fat while fasting. It also spoke about the detoxification process and how important it is to exercise focus areas.

The workshop was conducted by Evolve Founder Haitham Khalid and Personal Trainer Milica Vujic. Khalid, a professional personal trainer and martial arts coach is also a qualified Le Cordon Bleu cuisine and patisserie chef. Born and raised in the UK, Khalid has over 15 years of food, catering and wellness experience. Vujik, with over 10 years of experience in fitness and nutrition, is an expert in plant-based nutrition and cosmetics, body shape and natural medicine.

"It is really important for the community to have such workshops to learn about how to attain greater balance in relation to health. Evolve regularly runs workshops on wellness during Ramadan. We try to hold as many workshops as we can, each year, on different topics.
