A former WWE star who once held championship gold is officially preparing for an in-ring return, aiming to end his career on his own terms.

Ezekiel Jackson, a powerhouse competitor in WWE from 2007 to 2014, made history as the final WWECW Champion and also held the Intercontinental Championship. Following his WWE departure, he had a brief run in TNA and later competed in Lucha Underground under the name Big Ryck. After wrestling his last match for German promotion wXw in October 2015, Jackson stepped away from the ring.

Now, in 2025, the former ECW Champion has revealed via his blog that he’s making a comeback, expressing his dissatisfaction with how his career ended:

“I kept asking myself if I finished my career the way I wanted, and for the most part, I didn’t. So, I’ve always had that little chip on my shoulder. I want to end this on my own terms. I also have a bucket list of people I’d love to compete against, so we’re looking into scheduling a few things. I am accepting bookings, and this should be fun.”

Jackson also confirmed he’ll be appearing at FWE in North Carolina on March 15 and is currently training to get back into ring shape:

“I’m still big as hell, so that’s not a concern. But I do have to get into ring shape. I’m adding more cardio-based workouts, doing some rowing, and I’ll be hitting the ring a few times a week. Should be a fun journey, and I’m excited to see how this all plays out.”
