Jordan upsets Japan in World Cup qualifying

Jordan defeated Japan 2-1 in a World Cup qualifier match on Tuesday, in Amman.

The win puts the national in second place behind Japan with seven points.

Khalil Bani Attieh scored Jordan’s first goal one minute before the end of the first half, while Ahmad Hayel scored the second in the 60th minute.

Japan scored a goal after 69 minutes from the start of the game by Shinji Kagawa, and goalkeeper Amer Shafie saved Yasuhito Endo's penalty at the 70th minute.
