Kuwait's Public Authority for Sports (PAS) said on Sunday it fully supports meaningful endeavors undertaken by young enthusiasts that help boost the local sports scene.
PAS' deputy director general Dr. Saqer Al-Mulla's remarks came amid a press conference to announce pan-Arab talks over the sports industry due in Kuwait next month.
He highlighted the talks as a valuable opportunity for youngsters to pitch their ideas and plans to develop the sports system.
It is incumbent upon the private and government sectors alike not to overlook the local sports industry, according to Mishal Al-Subaie, the assistant undersecretary in charge of development projects at the Kuwaiti ministry of state for youth affairs.
The three-day forum will examine strategies meant to prop up the sports scene in the wider Arab region, its chief organizer Dr. Abdullah Al-Qasab pointed out.
He added that events like the forum are part of Kuwait's 2035 vision for sustained development, thanking PAS and other bodies involved for pursuing such endeavors.
