Manchester United (2-2-2) are battling to get back to their winning ways and did so last weekend, however, a straight Red Card to Wayne Rooney as seen the side once again looking for the right formula. The club captain did not set the best of examples last week and now his side are without him for the entire coming month.

Outside of Rooney, Louis Van Gaal remains without Jesse Lingard, Ashley Young, James Wilson, Johnny Evans, Chris Smalling, Ander Herrera, Phil Jones and Michael Carrick.

Everton (1-3-2) have had a tough start to their campaign and after having been defensive stalwarts last season they have been horrid this season and need to get things back in order. Young John Stones is likely to have earned himself another start for the club after his display last weekend in the Merseyside Derby.

Ross Barkley and Kevin Mirallas are both remaining on the sidelines for the foreseeable future while Steven Pienaar, James McCarthy, Sylvain Distin and Seamus Coleman are all game time decisions.

Projected Lineups

Manchester United XI: Gea: Rafael, McNair, Rojo, Shaw; Maria, Blind, Fletcher; Mata: Falcao, Persie.

Everton XI: Howard: Coleman, Stones, Jagielka, Baines; Besic, Barry; Atsu, Naismith, McGeady; Lukaku.
