Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has said the reigning English champions have only 10 percent chance left of retaining their Premier League title following their shock 3-1 defeat against Southampton at St. Mary's on Saturday.

City's title rivals Manchester United can go 12 points clear of their rivals with victory over Everton on Sunday, a gap that Mancini admitted would be practically insurmountable, the Telegraph reports.

Mancini was livid after his team donated their opponents three goals through dreadful defensive errors, branding his team's performance as worse than poor.

Gareth Barry lost possession in the build-up to Jason Puncheon's opener before turning into his own net shortly into the second half to kill off any chance of a fight back from the visitors, it added.

In between, Joe Hart allowed a harmless shot from Rickie Lambert to squirm through his hands and Steven Davis turned in from close range, the paper added.

Mancini said they have a 10 per cent chance, maybe, adding there are 12 games to go but he doesn't think they would recover 12 points. (ANI)
