According to El Nacional, Argentina and PSG superstar Lionel Messi's return to Barcelona becomes more distant as the days go by, with the club instead prioritising the signing of Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta was hell-bent on bringing Messi back to Camp Nou, but has been advised by others in the administration to go for Silva instead of the ageing Argentinian star.
