The Rio Olympics silver medallist leapt 2.33m to win the event ahead of China’s Yu Wang and Ukraine’s Andriy Protsenko who managed 2.3 and 2.27m respectively.
Barshim had delighted home fans in Qatar a week ago by winning the high jump at the Doha Diamond League meet.
