Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos handed career lifeline

Newcastle United are reportedly planning to sign free agent Sergio Ramos.

The former Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain star is available after reaching the end of his Sevilla deal over the summer.

The Saudi owned Premier League side is in contact with the 38-year-old's camp and have submitted an offer to bring him to St. James' Park in January, according to Okdiario.

Newcastle are offering the veteran defender an 18-month contract worth €10 million.

Ramos who has also held talks with Juventus, Boca Juniors and Corinthians is yet to respond to Newcastle's approach.
