Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is fighting for his job, according to club legend Paul Scholes.
The former Ajax coach is under huge pressure from the club's new investors INEOS due to poor results.
The Red Devils succumbed to their eleventh Premier League loss this term when they fell short against rivals Manchester City on Sunday.
Reports claim many players are dissatisfied with ten Hag's intense training sessions, and believe they are causing repeated injuries within the squad.
Manchester Evening News stated that the Dutchman's future at Old Trafford has already been sealed.
Scholes also believes INEOS will sack ten Hag at the end of the season.
The United icon spoke to Optus Sport and said: "What we're seeing is a million miles away from a team that should be challenging for the league. Every single season it's just so far away."
"I think they have already made their mind up. I don't think he will be there next season. No.
"From the interviews, we've heard with Sir Jim [Ratcliffe], I thought there was a little bit of negativity towards the club the last 10 or 11 years and especially the last two years.
"I don't think he's happy with what's going on. I wouldn't be surprised if they're looking for a new manager now. I'm not saying it's the right decision."
