South Korea managed an impressive draw against an unimpressive Russia side to open their World Cup account this summer with a point. Meanwhile Algeria failed to make the most of a great start against Belgium and fell 2-1 after having opened the scoring against the strongest side in Group H.

The Koreans have what it takes to get three points out of this match as do the Algerians and a match that could be a great open contest is expected to be a cagey slow scoring affair that would not surprise me if it ended in a draw.

Korea have no pressing injury concerns but there could be at least one small change if manager Hong Myung-Bo decides to switch things up a bit and starting with Lee Keun-Ho over Arsenal's Park Chu-Yong at the top of the line.

Algeria likewise have no injury issues and are expected to name the same first team that faced Belgium.

Algeria are desperate for a win to ensure this match does not seal their fate in the group, and a draw for both could potential signal that they will both be going home early even if not fully eliminated this afternoon.

South Korea Starting XI: Sung-Ryong: Yong, Jeong-Ho, Young-Gwon, Suk-Young; Kook-Young, Sung-Young; Chung-Yong, Ja-Cheol, Heung-Min; Keun-Ho.

Algeria Starting XI: M'Bolhi: Mostefa, Halliche, Bougherra, Ghoulam; Medjani; Feghouli, Taider, Bentaleb, Mahrez; Soudani.
