Stoke City manager Mark Hughes said Saturday that he is "looking forward to working with" anticipated new signing Ramadan Sobhi from Egyptian champions Ahly.

"I think [the deal] is there. I spoke to [Ramadan Sobhi] and spent time with him and he seems a very mature young man so I am looking forward to working with him," the 52-year-old said in a video interview with his club's official website after their opening pre-season defeat against Burton Albion.

The 19-year-old Egyptian winger arrived in England Thursday to complete his move after Egyptian champions Ahly accepted the Potters' offer.

Hughes has also assured that Sobhi "will be close to the first team squad," but said he needs to adapt to the circumstances of the "difficult Premier League."

One of the best players of the Egyptian League last season, Sobhi was a standout performer as Ahly wrestled the league title from arch-rivals Zamalek, thanks to his mesmerising skills that enabled him to score five league goals and help create eight others, rescuing his team from many defeats single-handedly.
