After nine successful events keeping fans entertained at its Tennis Village, the Mubadala World Tennis Championship (MWTC) is back with their 10th edition — bigger and better than ever before.

The International Tennis Centre at Zayed Sports City is getting dressed up for this year’s tournament, which is set to take place between December 28-30 in Abu Dhabi.

With three days of fun activities planned, the Tennis Village is the place to be as fans and visitors get the opportunity to rub shoulders with the players and get their autographs.

Since 2009, the MWTC has been promoting the game among youngsters and day one is dedicated to budding tennis fans with activities planned all day to bring them closer to the sport.

Winners of the Mubadala Community Cup presented by Healthpoint will take part in the star coaching clinics, where Pablo Carreno Busta, Rafael Nadal and Milos Raonic will show some of their skills to the 14s and under-10s and 12s and Adults categories respectively. The clinics are open to fans and visitors to view. Young fans can also enjoy a Q&A session with world No. 5, Dominic Thiem and tennis legend and MWTC ambassador Pat Cash.

On the opening day, fans will get the chance to attend an autograph signing session with current world No. 1 Nadal. Each day, visitors can attend the player’s practice sessions and tennis clinics.

Like every year, Mubadala’s Interactive Zone will feature fun games and other engaging activities. Visitors can also experience installations and competitions from key sponsors including Etihad, Mercedes and Highland Spring.

The three-day event at the Tennis Village will also have a range of fitness activities to keep the crowd buzzing with excitement and there is plenty of food and beverages to go around with a number of food trucks available on site.

The event will again see the top stars in action including current French and US Open winner, Nadal, 12-time Grand Salm winner Novak Djokovic, three-time Grand Slam winner Stan Wawrinka, world No. 5 Dominic Thiem, US Open semi-finalist Busta and Wimbledon finalist Raonic as they compete for the winner takes all $250,000 (Dh919,500) prize.
