The "Mountain Marathon" took place on Sunday under the patronage of Tourism Minister Avedis Guidianian, with thousands of residents in the region partaking in the various Marathon stages between the Chouf and Jezzine areas.
Before the race kicked off this morning from the entrance to the town of Beter in the Chouf, delivered speeches focused on welcoming this sports activity that included citizens of the Chouf and Jezzine areas.
At the Marathon's end, participants reached Jezzine's Square where a ceremony was held to celebrate the winners and prizes were distributed to the different age groups.
