Coach of Tunisia's basketball team Mario Palma, on Thursday, released the names of the 12 players who will take part in the Afrobasket to be co-hosted by Tunisia and Senegal from September 8 to 16.

They are: Omar Abeda, Nizar Kenioua, Mourad El Mabrouk, Amor Mouhli, Zied Chennoufi, Radhouane Slimane, Mohamed Adem Rassil, Mohamed Hadidane, Bechir Hadidane, Firas Lahiani, Mokhtar Ghayeza and Captain Makrem Ben Romdhane.

Tunisia were drawn in Group C at the first round of the 2017 Afrobasket alongside Rwanda, Guinea and Cameroon.

16 teams were divided in four groups. Two of these groups will play their group games in Tunis while the other two in Dakar.

The knock-out round will be held from September 14 to 16 in Tunis.
