The UAE senior national football team have started preparing for their friendly match against Estonia, to be played at Mohammad Bin Zayed Stadium at Al Jazira club on Wednesday.
The team, led by head coach Mahdi Ali, gathered late on Saturday after the end of the matches of the seventh week of Etisalat Pro League and had their first practice session at Al Jazira Stadium.
The match is part of the UAE’s preparation for the Gulf Cup to be held in Bahrain from January 5 and also for the qualifiers of the 2014 Asian Cup in Australia.
The Estonian delegation arrived on yesterday from Muscat where they played a friendly match against Oman and won 2-1. Henri Aneir and Gert Kams scored for the winners while Abdul Aziz Al Miqbali scored for the home team.
