Reports from TalkSPORT claim that out of favor Chelsea striker Demba Ba has been linked with a January move to Spanish side Valencia as Los Che look for an improved offensive line for the second half of their campaign.

The recent resurgence of Fernando Torres under Jose Mourinho and the summer arrival of Samuel Eto'o at Stamford Bridge has life for Ba as the odd man out rather hard to bare.

Having made the switch from Newcastle to a club where he thought he would prosper, he has only fallen out of the minds of many of those that thought he was truly a talent to watch.

Since leaving Newcastle he has only faded away and no doubt second guesses his decision to leave at times.

Ba has only scored six goals in 27 appearances for the Blues, having yet to score so far this season in only five displays under his new manager.

Having been much more prolific during his time elsewhere in England, the player certainly could be looking for a means of a fresh start, and a potential move to Spain could offer him the chance he truly needs to rejuvenate his career.
