Tottenham Hotspurs manager Andre Villas-Boas has said his first year at the club would be deemed a failure if he fails to guide the North-London based club to a top four position, which would ensure a spot in the Champions League next year.
Villas-Boas goes into his first home game in charge knowing he needs a top-four finish to restore his tattered reputation after Chelsea sacked him last term.
Preceding Spurs boss Harry Redknapp finished in that position in two of the previous three seasons, but the club missed out on the Champions League this season as sixth-place Chelsea nabbed their spot after winning the competition, The Sun reports.
Villas-Boas said: "Top four is what was proposed to me and that's what I accepted." (ANI)
