Switzerland and France square off in the second match of the day to battle for the top place of Group E, while Honduras and Ecuador face off in the last match of the night in hopes that one can find themselves up to second in the group with three points and a better goal differential than one of the top nations.
Both sides had a disappointing start to their World Cup runs as an early red card for veteran Honduran Wilson Palacios reduced his nation to 10-men early against an unforgiving France while Switzerland fought back to edge Ecuador at the end of a dramatic Group opener.
Honduras will be the underdog in the match as they remain without Palacios as Oscar Garcia is expected to take his place. Meanwhile Osman Chavez could also be a change in the first team after defender Victor Bernardez suffered an injury in the opening match as well.
Ecuador have no injury concerns and will likely field the same first team that nearly took down the Swiss in their first match.
Christian Noboa was the standout for Ecuador as well as forward Enner Valencia and the two once again will have to be on the top of their form as they look to get back into the fight to make it to the knockout stages if they can defeat Honduras.
