Dalia Al Buhairi a Goodwill Ambassador

The World Health Organization (WHO) will be holding a press conference at the Meridian Heliopolis Hotel in Cairo to announce the naming of Egyptian actress Dalia Al Buhairi as a Goodwill Ambassador. Dalia will be leading a campaign to fight brain strokes.

 

The actress has expressed her joy and honor at the new appointment. She stated that it is important for artists to play key roles in spreading awareness about different illnesses that are widely spreading in the region and costing lives.

 

Dalia revealed that for some time she has been looking for ways in which she can make a difference in matters that are of concern to society. The actress wants to make a difference and this particular illness she feels it is importance to raise awareness about especially since one in every six people are likely to experience a brain stoke.

 

Dalia is currently holding extensive work sessions with writer Fida Al Shandaweeli to prepare for her new television drama. Filming of the scenes will begin once a director is nominated.
