Young Egyptian actress Mai Izz El Din announced that she is preparing for a new film that will bring her together with Egyptian singer/actor Tamer Husni. Mai denied rumors that the film will be part three of “Omar and Salma”, and added that all that was previously published about the film holds no validity.
According to the London based Elaph, Mai stated that she is holding extensive work sessions with Tamer and producer Ahmad Al Sabki to decide on the details of the new project. Mai said that no agreement has been made on the film that they hope to have created in time to be screened during the summer of 2011.
Mai noted that she is very happy about the feedback she is getting for her role in the television drama “Qadiat Safia” (Safia’s Case), which is currently being aired. The actress revealed that she had intentionally completed filming all the scenes for the drama before the holy month of Ramadan in order to free herself completely for worship.
