Lebanese singer Mariam Fares has revealed that she will be heading to Egypt in the very near future to begin work on her first film, which will mark her first leading role in an Egyptian film. The singer also revealed that her new Khaliji (Gulf) album will be a big surprise to her fans around the Arab world.
At the same time, Mariam has denied imitating Egyptian prominent actress Nelly and Sharihan in the riddles show “Fawazeer Ramadan”, which she presented this past Ramadan season. The singer stated that had repeatedly turned down numerous offers to act in the past wanting to focus all her efforts on singing, but after doing the riddles show and her upcoming film, she took a liking to acting and began looking forward to different acting jobs.
Mariam has refused to reveal any specific details regarding her new film, stating that she will be starring alongside a well-known Egyptian actor, who is well respected in Egypt and around the Arab world.
