Egyptian director Wael Ihasan has nominated Egyptian actress Mina Shalabi for the leading role in the new film “Baba Imsahib” (Dad is Dating) alongside Egyptian actor Mahmoud Abd Al Aziz and prominent Egyptian actress Mervat Ameen.
Mina has given her acceptance of the nomination for the role that will bring her together once more with Mahmoud after many years. The two had taken part in numerous films together and the first they was “Al Saher” (The Magician).
The new film is a social comedy and discusses the second phase of adolescence that most men encounter. It revolves around the life a businessman and father that is adamant about raising his children according to social standards, but discovers that in reality his children think a completely different way than he does. The strict father throughout the events of the film falls in love with a young woman who is as old as his own children and all the ethics he had been preaching to his children become irrelevant.
