Egyptian singer Mohammad Foad is forced to resign from his singing career for at least one month to undergo surgery in his vocal cords. Foad noted that the operation is a simple one most singers are forced to undergo.
According to the internet website MBC.net, the singer stated that due to the fact that he over worked himself in the past months with starring in the television drama “Aghala min hayati” (Dearer than my life) and recording his latest album “Ana Bayn Edayk” (I’m in your hands), his vocal cords were exhausted and required surgery. He added that the one month resignation is based on his doctor’s order to get as much rest as possible.
Foad stated that regardless of his time off from singing, he is still undergoing work sessions with a number of poets and composers to select songs for his upcoming album. The singer promised his fans that he will return to the scenes once he is fully recovered from the operation.
