Syrian actress Sulaf Fawakhirji has justified her decision to back out from the judging committee at the Carthage International Cinema Festival by stating that her health condition and exhaustion from a very busy schedule in the recent months is forcing her to avoid any strenuous activities. Sulaf said that she needs to get lots of rest to be able to jump back into the scenes and begin work on new projects.
Sulaf had stated that her busy scheduled had given her no time to rest. Head of the judging committee stated that she will not make any public announcements regarding Sula’s decision to pull out from the opening ceremony of the festival.
