Syrian actress Sulaf Mi’mar is preparing for her role as ‘Sabha’ in the new social Syrian television drama “Al Sarab” (Mirage). The drama is written by Captain Najeeb Nuseer and Hassan Sami Yousif and directed by Marwan Barakat. Sulaf had previously turned down her nomination for a different role in the same drama as ‘Rana’, and the role was given to Syrian actress Nisreen Tafish.

Sulaf had turned down the role as ‘Rana’ due to her extreme admiration of the role of ‘Sabha’, who in the drama works as a butcher. The character of ‘Sabha’ according to Sulaf is one she never played before and feels it will add to her acting career. Prominent Syrian actor Bassam Kusa will also be starring alongside Sulaf in the new drama.

According to the London based Elaph, Sulaf has just completed filming most of her scenes in a different television drama titled “Al Ghufran” (Forgiveness), which she will star alongside Syrian actor Basil Al Khayat. The drama is written by Hassan Sami Saif and directed Hatem Ali.
