STC and Oracle Systems conclude Joint Technical Cooperation Agreement

STC (Saudi Telecom) signed yesterday with Oracle Systems Ltd a joint cooperation agreement under the name Oracle Advanced Customer Services. Signing on behalf STC was Eng. Omar Al Nomany, Vice President for Information Technology and on behalf of Oracle, Eng. Abdulrahman Al Thehaiban, Vice President for Middle East & Africa. The agreement stipulates the transfer of knowledge of Oracle’s products and deploying them within STC as well as conducting on the job training, providing a platform for technical support for all of Oracle’s products including customer relationship management (CRM), Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP), Human Resources Management Systems(HRMS), and E-Commerce trading and other products. The agreement also includes the exchange of expertise in the field of database management and troubleshooting.

This agreement will also provide solutions and expertise to meet the unique and advanced IT goals while ensuring a distinct relationship with Oracle Systems. The agreement will avail advanced technical support services customized for STC as well as proactive solutions for all Oracle applications and technologies (Database, Middleware and Applications).

These customized services will provide proactive and preventative support to all STC businesses, and will primarily focus on operation maintenance and lifecycle management, operations monitoring and management for mission critical business needs, and finally ensure preventative assessments and analysis to continuously anticipate, identify, and remediate system issues.

This signed agreement concluded by the two parties will serve all of STC customers and employees in there transactions with Oracle System Ltd products whereby STC will maximize the use of Oracle’s new technologies to serve its customers of various categories. Doing so will have a positive effect on the services that STC provides to its customers. STC is among the first companies in the region to sign an agreement on this scale.
