TE Data offers customers opportunity to pay bills via Fawry
Fawry, the leading electronic bill payment and presentment (EBPP) network in Egypt, has announced that customers of The Egyptian Company for data transfer TE DATA can pay their monthly bills through its nationwide network with immediate effect.
TE Data, the fastest growing Data communication and Internet Service Provider in Egypt, is the country’s leader, with the biggest infrastructure and 70% of Egypt’s capacity.
Under an agreement signed with Fawry, TE Data customers will be able to pay their bills for all services rendered by the company through Fawry’s extensive network. TE Data customer can either pay their bills in cash at post offices in Egypt or at 2500 bill payment and mobile top-up points that are available at medium and large grocery stores or pharmacies, shopping centers and supermarkets in Cairo, Alexandria and Delta region.
Customers who have bank accounts can also pay their bills via ATMs, as major banks in Egypt offer Fawry service through its network of outlets. Customers can also pay by debit cards via ATMs of National Bank of Egypt, Banque Misr, Banque Du Caire, Bank of Alexandria and Arab African International Bank. The National Bank of Egypt also allows customers to use their credit cards on its ATMs to pay bills through the Fawry network.
Customers need not have a printed bill in hand, as they can simply head to any retail point displaying the Fawry logo, check their bills and pay it. The Fawry branded PoS machine will show the outstanding balance and also displays the issuer’s confirmation of payment. Customers will then get a printed receipt and receive a confirmation SMS on their mobile phone.
