Georgian dancers take to the stage at Bahrain Summer Festival 2011
In the final show of the Bahrain Summer Festival 2011, fleet-footed Georgian youngsters ranging from 7 to 14 years old left the audience looking forward to next year’s festival with a spellbinding performance in the “Georgian Legend: Samaia’s Little Virtuosos” show (July 25 - 26 at 7pm in the Exhibition Center).
Demonstrating the power, respect, bravery, and tenacity that have come to define the centuries-old traditional dance of the Caucasus region, the talented performers charmed the capacity crowd - which included the Georgian Ambassador to Bahrain Ekaterine Meiering-Mikadze - with a tantalizing combination of supreme technical skill and perfectly executed choreography.
The Festival will continue until July 31st through “Nakhool Tent” located next to Arad Fort, offering a broad range of family-friendly every day from 5 to 10 pm.
