Turkish Airlines and Amadeus sign full content agreement worldwide and boost cooperation

Turkish Airlines and Amadeus, a leading travel technology partner and transaction processor for the global travel and tourism industry, have signed a 3-year full content agreement that guarantees all travel agents worldwide, outside Turkey, access to the full range of the carriers’ fares, inventory and schedules.
“We are delighted about this new agreement that boosts our relationship with Amadeus and allows Turkish Airlines to have competitive distribution in our international markets”, says Faruk Cizmecioglu, EVP Sales and Marketing, Turkish Airlines. “Travel agents outside Turkey can now enjoy efficient access to the complete range of our offer through Amadeus for the next three years”.
The new agreement offers Amadeus’ subscribers outside of Turkey the same level of fares, availability and functionality as the airline distributes through its own website.
“This is a critical step in Amadeus’ strategy to secure long-term efficient access to the content of key airlines worldwide”, said David Doctor, Director Airline and Travel Agency. “Amadeus is a significant provider of distribution reach to Turkish Airlines and this contract lays the ground for a stable long-term cooperation with the carrier”.
With a passenger volume per annum of 30 million, Turkish Airlines is one the fastest-growing airlines in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Central Asia. Amadeus is a chief distribution partner of the carrier.
This new contract is part of an increasing number of content agreements which Amadeus has recently signed with key airlines including, Aerolíneas Argentinas, TAP Portugal, Cathay Pacific and Alitalia.
