United Development Company (UDC) Accepts ‘Best Project of The Year’ Award

At the recent 'Arabian Business Achievement Awards, Qatar 2010' United Development Company's flagship project The Pearl-Qatar was named 'Best Project of The Year'.

UDC is one of Qatar's leading public shareholding companies listed in the Qatar Stock Exchange. The award is the latest recognition for The Pearl-Qatar which is seen as a world leading urban development project.

Accepting the award, UDC's Technical Director Jerry Jackson said:

"This has been a fantastic year for The Pearl-Qatar and the project is developing very, very well. This project has been achieved as a result of the vision of His Highness the Emir and the hard work of everyone in the UDC family."

Two new towers of developer partners at Porto Arabia are scheduled to open this month. Other developments, such as Medina Centrale and Qanat Quartier are moving ahead as well.

"This is the continuation of further building our residential communities, which have already seen more than 1.500 residents move in." Jackson said.

"It is always an honour to receive awards and accolades on behalf of all the people in the UDC family. It is recognition that we are making a difference for Qatar."

The two buildings that are to be opened are part of the Porto Arabia development and will offer almost 400 residential units to potential residents.
